May Is the Month That Sets Your Summer Up
May is often overlooked.
It’s not January, and it’s not peak summer — but it’s one of the most important months of the year.
Because it decides how summer feels.
The Reality
A lot of people wait for “the right time” to lock in.
But summer doesn’t reward intention — it reflects consistency.
What you do now shows up later.
Whernside & Inglebrough Reminder
This weekend, members of the KGN community took on Whernside & Inglebrough — Yorkshire’s highest peak (736m).
It wasn’t just a hike — it was a reminder of what consistent training builds: fitness to keep going when it gets tough, the mindset to push through discomfort, and a community that shows up together outside the gym.
What you do in sessions carries far beyond them.
What May Should Look Like
Keep it simple:
- 2–4 sessions per week
- Show up even when motivation dips
- Don’t restart after missed days
- Focus on routine over intensity
You don’t need perfect weeks — you need repeatable ones.
May isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing what you already know — consistently.
Because that’s what carries into summer.
